Article 1
These Standards have been formulated in accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 2 of Article 30 of the Private School Law.
Article 2
The maximum remuneration that full-time chairpersons of the board of directors, board members, and supervisors may receive is stipulated below:
1. The amount that may be received by each person each month is limited to the combined total of the maximum annual salary, academic research allowance, and supervisory position allowance of a teacher in the highest salary bracket at the highest level private educational institution established by the school endowment corporation.
2. The total amount that may be received by all such persons in an entire year is limited to one percent of the total income for that academic year of the school endowment corporation and of all the private educational institutions it has established, and this total amount is not permitted to exceed ten million NTD.
The maximum annual salary of a teacher in the highest salary bracket referred to in Subparagraph 1 of the previous paragraph is calculated for schools at senior secondary level or lower based on the highest amount that is paid to a teacher who has a doctoral degree; for educational institutions at junior college level and above, it is calculated based on the maximum salary amount paid made to a professor.
The full-time chairpersons of the board of directors, board members, and supervisors referred to in Paragraph 1 are not permitted to also receive any meeting attendance fees, transportation allowance, or other expenses.
Article 3
The total amount of all meeting attendance fee and transportation allowance payments that may be received by all chairpersons of the board of directors, board members, and supervisors who hold their position without remuneration in an entire year is limited to seven thousandths of the total combined income for that academic year of the school endowment corporation and of all the private educational institutions it has established, and this total amount is not permitted to exceed three million, five hundred thousand NTD.
