Fee-Charging Standards for the Registration of Food and Food Additives

Article 1
These Standards are enacted in accordance with the provisions of Article 58 of the Act Governing Food Safety and Sanitation and Article 10 of the Charges and Fees Act.
Article 2
The standards for charging fees to register food and food additives are as follows:
(1) The review fee charged for registering foods in tablet or capsule forms shall be NT$ 4,000 per application.
(2) The review fee charged for registering food additives shall be NT$ 6,000 per ap-plication.
(3) The review fee charged for registering special dietary foods are as follows:
(a) Infant and follow-up formula: NT$ 3,000 per application.
(b) Formula for certain disease: NT$ 60,000 per application. An additional charge of NT$ 140,000 per application shall be placed when the committee review pro-cess required.
(4) The review fee charged for registering genetically modified food raw materials shall be NT$ 250,000 per application.
(5) The review fee charged for extension, amendment, reissuance, ownership transfer, or replacement of the permit document for food additives and foods in tablet or capsule forms shall be NT$ 4,000 per application. The application for amending the registration is charged on a per-item basis. Provided that the amendment in-volves the name of the original manufacturer, the name, address or person in charge of the applicant, and a complete list of licensed products (specifying the license number, Chinese product name, and validity period) is attached, the amendment fee shall be calculated on a per-application basis.
(6) The review fee charged for extension, amendment, reissuance, ownership transfer, or replacement of the permit document for special dietary foods shall be NT$ 4,000 per application. Each application for amendment of the permit document shall be different contents in the same registration certificate or the same item with the same contents in different ones.
(7) The review fee charged for amendment or extension of the permit document for genetically modified food raw materials shall be NT$ 6,000 per application. The application for amending the registration is charged on a per-item basis. Provided that the amendment involves the name of the original manufacturer, the name, ad-dress or person in charge of the applicant, and a complete list of licensed products (specifying the license number, Chinese product name, and validity period) is at-tached, the amendment fee shall be calculated on a per-application basis.
(8) The review fee charged for reissuance, replacement or ownership transfer of the permit document for genetically modified food raw materials shall be NT$ 8,000 per application.
(9) The certificate fees charged for issuance, replacement and reissuance of foods and food additives shall be NT$ 1,500 each.
(10) The review fee charged for English Certificate of Free Sale or Test Report of foods and food additives shall be NT$ 2,000 per application.
(11) The review fee charged for English Certificate of Sanitary Certificated or Manu-factured Sanitary Certificated of foods and food additives shall be NT$ 2,400 per application.
(12) The expedited review fee charged for English Certificate of Manufactured Sanitary Certificated of foods and food additives shall be NT$ 3,000 per application.
(13) The on-site inspection or sampling fee charged for English Certificate of Free Sale, Test Report, Sanitary Certificate or Manufactured Sanitary Certificated of foods and food additives shall be NT$ 4,600 per application. (This fee does not include the cost of laboratory tests.)
(14) The fee charged for an English Certificate of Free Sale, Test Report, Sanitary Cer-tificate or Manufactured Sanitary Certificated of foods and food additives shall be NT$ 1,000 each for original copy and NT$ 100 each for duplicate.
Article 3
The Standard shall be implemented from the date of promulgation.
